The museum contains a permanent collection of dollhouses, from a simple cape cod house to elaborate Victorian houses. In addition to the dollhouses and many dolls, there also are trains and trucks on display as well as educational toys. The museum is open Saturday and Sunday afternoons from 1 to 4 pm year round or by appointment or by chance. The museum is located at 212 Union Street, Bennington, Vermont.
Admission fee: $2.00 for children 3 and older and $4.00 for adults.
The museum is in an 1850s victorian house that looks like a dollhouse. The entrance hallway features a photo history of Union and Valentine Streets. The museum is on the corner of Union and Valentine Street. The museum is also home for VT MoMA, that is Vermont Museum of Miniature Art.
We have reopened and will be on our regular schedule 1 to 4 pm on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. At this time we ask that you wear a mask during your visit. Our newest exhibit is on the Women’s Suffrage Movement.
Please note that if you are in Bennington at a time the museum is not scheduled to be open, if I am free I can open it for you.
